The 28 GHz RIS is a high-resolution Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface designed for mmWave and 5G FR2 applications. It has been specifically developed for research and advanced development scenarios in 5G FR2, emerging 6G concepts, beamforming experiments, and sensing applications.

The 28 GHz RIS consists of a highly integrated array with a large number of individually configurable unit cells, enabling precise manipulation of electromagnetic wave propagation in the mmWave spectrum.
System Architecture
Due to the short wavelengths at 28 GHz, precise geometric design of the RIS elements and accurate phase control are critical.
The system is implemented as a high-density integrated array and enables the investigation of advanced beamforming, reflection, and focusing effects in the mmWave frequency range.
Control is handled via an integrated controller and is optimized for laboratory and measurement environments.
