Our linearly polarized 5.5 GHz RIS is a versatile platform for precisely controlling wave propagation in the 5 GHz frequency range, e.g., for WiFi applications. It is specifically designed for research and development environments and allows individual control of each element (unit cell) to practically investigate various configurations, beamforming approaches, and signal optimization concepts.

Ideal for prototyping and validating your R&D concepts at an early stage!

Use cases
Our RIS solutions can extend existing wireless environments and enable precise control of wave propagation — for research, development, and specialized communication applications.
RIS as an intelligent reflector
Our RIS can be used to selectively reflect radio waves to improve signal coverage and quality. This technology offers flexible application possibilities — for example, to optimize coverage in challenging environments, reduce dead zones, and enable new types of applications.
Joint Communication & Sensing (JCS)
By precisely steering the beam and adapting the radio environment via the RIS, communication systems can simultaneously be used as sensing systems — for example, for more accurate positioning, environmental detection, or imaging.
6G- and Communication research
With the ability to control each element (unit cell) individually, our 5.5 GHz RIS provides an open platform for 6G pre-projects, testbeds, and feasibility studies — both in the laboratory and in the field.
Physical Layer Security
By adding artificial noise at the physical layer and dynamically manipulating the channel, the RIS can be used to enhance the physical security of wireless links and make protocol-level attacks more difficult.
Cross-standard integration
Since the RIS operates at the physical layer, it is not tied to any specific wireless standard and can be integrated backward-compatibly into existing legacy communication systems — ideal, for example, for working with WiFi Channel State Information.
💡 In short: Our 5.5 GHz RIS is a flexible, research-oriented yet practical tool for communication research, security applications, and radio channel optimization — independent of any specific wireless standard.
